3380 Coyote Hill Road

Project Location: Palo Alto, CA

Client:  Studios Architecture

Description:

Situated on a 6.5 acre hillside site at the edge of the Stanford Research Park, 3380 Coyote Hill Road is a model project for sustainable integration of new office space into a previously developed site.

The landscape design team worked closely with Studios Architecture, the Stanford Research Park, and Stanford University Biologists and Ecologists to create a site design that is sensitive to the site’s adjacent open space and provides an enhanced native habitat. Planting design for the site utilizes native plant material grown from local genetic sources for a carefully selected native plant palette.

Plaza spaces around the building follow a central axis connecting the arrival autocourt with terraced stairways and seating. Outdoor work spaces and indoor/outdoor break areas are provided at two roof decks and plaza areas offering views towards Coyote Hill and the research park. Slated for completion in 2020 the project will deliver 83,000sf of office space for the Stanford Research Park.
