Located next to Historic Murphy Street district and a short walk from the Sunnyvale CalTrain station, Downtown Sunnyvale is a mixed use master planned development, consisting of over 900,000 s.f. of new retail shopping, theater, hotel and restaurant space, 200,000 s.f. of class A office space, 300 residential units, and a 1 acre downtown plaza.

TGP worked with Sand Hill Property Company, RREEF, and the City of Sunnyvale in the redevelopment of the Downtown Sunnyvale Area. The development team includes Kenneth Rodrigues and Partners, RTKL Architects, KTGY Architects, International Parking Design, BKF Civil Engineers, and Devcon Construction.

Redwood Square is the central community space in the development which will be vibrant with activity, including dining plazas, public performance spaces, fountains, innovative lighting festive color display, and public art and sculpture. Downtown Sunnyvale includes many sustainable features, including permeable paving, drought tolerant plantings with high efficiency irrigation systems, energy efficient lighting design, and creative use of recycled materials used throughout the plan.

The project received a PCBC 2007 Merit Award for Best on the Boards Site Plan.
