This site includes two regulation soccer fields, concessions and maintenance facilities and ample auto and bicycle parking. Sustainable practices implemented in the design include the use of recycled artificial turf, eliminating the need for mowing, watering, pesticide, herbicide and fertilizers. Grasses planted around fields can provide both comfortable spectator seating, while at the same time providing a drought tolerant alternative which requires no mowing. Heritage oaks and other trees were preserved and transplanted around the site. Lighting was selected to be energy efficient and reduce night glare. Parking is surrounded with planted swales for improved drainage water quality and site furnishings are also made with recycled materials.
