The Sand Hill Road Improvement project was developed in collaboration between the City of Menlo Park and Stanford University, to allow for improved auto circulation and new sidewalks and bicycle trails for the community.

Many existing Oak trees were preserved, as well as extensive new drought tolerant plantings to enhance these busy streets. Storm water treatment was achieved through creative use of bioswales along the frontages. New pathways encourage cycling and walking in the community
