Occupying the site of the former library the new building has nearly twice the square footage at 185,000 sq.ft. The 3-story on-grade building includes a cafe and coffee bar and four exterior terraces.

The landscape design seeks to integrate the existing campus circulation patterns with several new spaces for students to gather.The playfully designed walkways provide large scale trees, separate conversation crescents, seating walls and bicycle parking.

Four canary Island Date Palms were relocated from the previous building courtyard and used to integrate the public entry. Permeable pavers were used extensively in the plazas.
