This campus has been enjoyed as the home to Netscape, AOL-Time Warner, Mercury, and Hewitt Packard. All have been attracted to the dynamic campus spaces and gardens that invite use and enjoyment of the outdoor environment. The land plan linked the “L shaped site” by creating a Grand Boulevard off Ellis Street, which meets the Quad axis at the circular flagpole plaza. Each office building has an auto court to provide orientation to the building entrances. Outdoor rooms of London Plane Trees, crushed stone plazas with wood furniture, and quiet fountains provide useable outdoor space for work or social events.
