This landscape design creates a central auto court in a fan shape that reflects the curved forms of the building walls. A perennial garden was placed between the two buildings creating a central gathering place for meetings, corporate gatherings, and lunch. The two plazas are united by a pedestrian plaza featuring a domed fountain of cut glass tiles and stainless steel channels. Mature Oak and Redwood trees were preserved on the site, establishing a setting for new flowering Cherry and Pear trees which provide dramatic seasonal interest. Interlocking paving stones, integral color concrete paving, flagstone and decorative lighting enrich the landscape design and help to make this development one of the premier office developments in the Stanford Research Park. |
